Our first Trivia night.

S A. se cítím jako bychom byly znova na střední. We know the same group of people, keep meeting actually at school, joke around and speak about daily things.
She waited for me in the teacher’s room and then we half walked half run to get to the pub on time.
Our team was called “Whatever” – me, L. and A.
Even though the first round seemed hopeless, we ended up in the third place and won some banana cake.
I was really proud of myself when I answered correctly a math question, but I’m embarrassed that we didn’t get right the English title of the first Lord of the Rings book.
For next time we need someone who is really good at history and art.

Our host was Amanda from the USA. She made a few mistakes, so sometimes the questions weren’t clear, and people wanted to argue with her. And few questions were also a little bit too American, and we didn’t even stand a chance.

E. and her new hair are back from Scotland for a while. We met there by chance, because she was a member of another team.
The café/chocolate place/pub, where the event took place is really cosy and the stuff is wonderful, so we’ll check some other events there in the future.
In the middle of the game we were in the middle (3rd place from 6 teams), so we got free chocolate as a special reward.

L: Ty ses včera zapomněla odlíčit?
V: Ne, to, co vidíš, jsou kruhy pod očima.

The meeting room was occupied, so we went to my student’s office. There were ancient armchairs similar like the ones my grandmother had and between them small table with open package of sweets. What a weird place to have a lesson.

Sobota: Velký jarní úklid + Welcome to Night vale

Během úterního kvízu nás E. přemluvila, abychom s nimi šly už potřetí za poslední půlrok na Muchu. Protože lístky skoro nic nestojí a holky jsou v Česku jen na skok, nakonec jsme souhlasily.

Byl z toho parádní večer. Myslím, že jít na Muchu nikdy nemůže dopadnout špatně. Její průpovídky, tanečky a k tomu pár pivek. Po koncertu jsme se tak zapovídaly, že jsme si nechaly ujet několik autobusů a naplánovaly jsme hypotetickou návštěvu do Skotska.
E. is so nice and funny. I like her. It’s a pity that she’s leaving again on Thursday.
